CD player--that's easy!

I don't love this picture, it makes her look funny, but it was
all I had that captured the moment!

Grandma got Ava some very fun CD's and a CD player that is just her size, with minimal buttons so she can eventually learn to do it all by herself. Well, less than 24 hours later she is loading it and starting the music all by herself...AND, clapping for a job well done!

fun pj's

Ava had some very cute "boutique" pajamas from Grandma and Aunt Lindsay that I had forgotten about. Here she is, strutting her stuff!

Rainy day

Apparently it does not matter whether it is rainy or sunny when a small child needs to play outside. When we got home from the store today, Ava ran to get her lawn mower. (I know the lawn needs more care, but to get the news from a 14 month old is sad!!) When we retired to play inside, she wanted nothing more than to play with the cat--who thought his hiding place was safe...but he was wrong!

At the eye doctor

Visiting Aunt Lindsay after the appointment

I am very good at worrying, and I worried quite a bit about Ava's eyes when she was younger. The pediatrician told me I could have them checked out if I wanted to, and of course I did! Yesterday we had a follow-up appointment at which they told me I have nothing to worry about--her eyes look great! It is interesting to see how they figure out the vision capabilities of a 14 month old! Ava did well and loved the chair that goes up and down!

Colander or hat?

Nick was in the kitchen cleaning up after lunch when he found Ava like this...

Big girl seat

Ava does not love being strapped into ANYTHING (car seat, high chair, etc.) However I was able to catch a few moments of her in her car seat where she was content!

Four Generations

We had our family photos taken by Stacey Clack, a wonderful photographer. Here are some of the pictures she took.

Congratulations Daddy

Nick had his commencement this weekend, graduation from the University of Phoenix. Ava was a very good sport throughout the long ceremony on a very hot day (even with all of her mosquito bites), and at the end she finally got to pull on the strings hanging from Daddy's hat.

WELCOME HOME!

Ava could not get enough of her Dad when he came home from working out of town this weekend. She brought him any toy she could find, sat in his lap and kept climbing on his back and hugging him. It was priceless! Needless to say, she misses him as much as I do when he's gone!

Ava and TrentonCream cheese is YUMMY!!!
Ava has been a bundle of laughs lately, from enjoying her slide to trying yummy new foods. She is the best!

Memorial Day

We spent Memorial Day with Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Scott, Todd, Tootie and Alyssa. It was a lot of fun! The girls had fun keeping us entertained, I think!
