Five months old

Alec is now five months old, HOLY COW!! I am amazed at how fast time goes by. He is rolling over, chewing anything he can and waiting for his first tooth. He loves his toes and socks and shoes...they were a recent discovery! Ava was helping me try to get him to smile and he got her hair...yikes! She is a good sport and usually doesn't even cry! He is just the happiest baby ever and we love him so much!

Gymnastics

Ava started gymnastics a few weeks ago and it is so cute! Here is is jumping into the foam pit. She is the only one in her class who will do it all by herself!!

First Snow

Pulling her sled up the hill...

Oops!

Made it!!

Ava loves the snow. There is no doubt about it! As soon as she saw the snow the morning of the first snow fall we were out in it. Luckily Grandma came over so all Alec had to endure in the cold was a short walk and a few pictures. I have a feeling we will be spending a lot of time stomping in the snow this winter!

Thanksgiving

We had a delicious dinner at Grandma's house...Thank you Mom! The kids got dressed in cute outfits and we were on our way. It was a very nice time, calm and quiet!! My favorite kind of holiday celebration!

Great Wolf Lodge

My mom and I went to the Great Wolf Lodge for Mason's 6th birthday party. It was an absolute blast! Ava really had a great time playing in the water, but her very favorite part was the red slide. We did it about 100 times! We had to take a few breaks to float around the lazy river because the heating system was broken and she was freezing! But, that was fun too! We had a great room with a "Wolf Den" that had bunk beds for Ava to sleep in. She was so excited and was so happy climbing on the bed that we thought it was going to be perfect for her. I was wrong. As soon as we got out the books for night time and climbed into bed she started to cry and told me she needed to go home!! Poor girl! Oh well, her and I slept together in the big bed and it worked out fine. Thanks for having us, Amy, Joey, Mason and TT, we had a wonderful time!!!

4 months old

I'm posting just a little late, sorry!!! Mr. Alec weighed in at a hefty 16 pounds 3 ounces!! He was in the 75th percentile for weight...back on the chart! He is maybe the happiest baby EVER! He oves his big sister and belly laughs when she comes around. We have so much fun with our big guy!!

Halloween!!

Grandma the teddy bear!

"So Soft!!"

"Candy, please?"

"What a perfectly beautiful little Lady."

Ava had a great time learning about the fun and excitement of Halloween this year! She got to carve pumpkins with Daddy and Uncle Jordan, eat yummy treats that Grandma made, put on a costume and go Trick-or-Treating!!! It was very fun to see how much she has grown up and how she can handle herself in new, somewhat scary situations. We love you, Big Girl!! Alec is simply the sweetest little man ever. He takes it all in stride, watching every little detail as he chews on his fingers! Happy 1st Halloween, Alec!

Trooper

Ava loves to play outside and swing on her swingset. Due to the cold weather we have had, Alec has needed to get all bundled up (in his "blue suit" as Ava calls it) for those play times. Here he is, being a very good boy as Ava gets her play time in!!

Carosel

Ava got her first experience on the big horsies at Rivertown and she loved it! She isn't really one to have a meltdown if things don't go her way, but she was not happy to leave the ride!! Fun for her!!

BUMBO!

Alec enjoys spending time sitting up and interacting with the world while in his Bumbo seat...as you can see, Missy Ava does as well!! It is quite interesting that she fits so well and he is pretty snug!

3 months

I can't really even talk about the fact that Mr. Alec is three months old already. He is wonderful and amazing and the best little boy ever. We love him so very much! I wish I could slow time down for a while so I could enjoy this time in his life for longer!!! I love being the mother of two amazing children, it is such a blessing!

Anderson and girls

The "Apple Shooter" slide

We took the kids out in the freezing cold to see the animals at Anderson and Girls Orchard in Stanton. We had a great time! I can't get over how much Ava loves all of the animals and how brave she is. She MUST get it from her Aunt Lindsay!!! (Actually she gets it from Grandma--love you Mom!!!) We will definitely go back for more fun and excitement on a day when it is a tiny bit warmer.
