ZOO!!!

Grandma took Ava to the zoo and it was a wonderful experience that we keep hearing about. She now hops everywhere like a wallaby and tell me she had to "hold on tight" to ride the camel. She loved the ducks that are everywhere outside the zoo (she was trying to feed them grass) and she really enjoyed the goats in the petting zoo (she nearly climbed on top of them!) She would really love to go back nearly every day. I don't love the zoo (or the smells at the zoo) and seeing her get so excited about it cracks me up!

Day to day

Just a few pictures of the kids...

Two Months Old!

My big boy is growing up too fast...I am not going to have a BABY for very much longer at the rate things are going! That makes me so sad. Alec is such a wonderful little boy, every minute I spend with him is the very best minute ever. He smiles all the time, coos and makes many cute baby noises. We have been working on tummy time and he is nearly to the point where he enjoys it! He is very strong, trying to hold his head up all by himself when we sit him up.
We went to his 2 month check up the other day and he weighed in at a hefty 13 pounds 3 ounces--greater than the 97th percentile!! (Ava has never been above the 3rd!!) His head was the 75th percentile and his length was 22 inches--40th percentile. We are all over the place! But, he is healthy and impressed them all with his strength. What a wonderful boy! We love you Alec Angus Raymond!!

On our way

Ava is Little Miss Mommy and is very opinionated about it. She needed her babies to come with us and she was very particular about situating them next to her. She also needed to buckle them into her car seat when we got out! Good thing I wasn't in a hurry!!

Mommy turns 30!

Lindsay threw a surprise 30th birthday party for me...I was completely oblivious! Alec went home with Grandma after dinner (where Nick had Ava already bathed and in bed due to an outrageous blow out poopy on the way to dinner) and we were able to spend a few hours hanging out at the party. Looking back, I should have been suspicious because Lindsay and Scott were missing from my birthday dinner, but I believe anything they tell me!! It was a great time and I got to spend it with so many wonderful friends and family. Thank you so much Lindsay, I love you!

BEAUTIFUL!

Traverse City

The two above are Ava's photos...she did pretty good with Mommy's camera!

We went to TC with Uncle Scott and Aunt Lindsay for the weekend. The weather was cold and rainy but it was a great time!! We really love hanging out with them, they are the best! Ava found two wooden ducks in the cottage and immediately fell in love with them. She carried the baby duck around everywhere and even took it to bed with her! We were worried we would need to leave a note and a check for Scott's family who own the cottage, explaining where the duck went! Saturday night was dry enough for a fire and we all spent a little time enjoying the outdoors and the campfire. We can't wait to do it again next year!
