Ava had her very first "play date" with a little girl who is about her age and almost the same size!! Ava is a few weeks older and just a bit taller...I was so surprised!! Chad is Kathryn's daddy and I work with him. She and Ava seem to be doing about the same things, so we thought we'd see what they did together. Here they are, learning what to do on a play date!! (In my defense, Ava's hair is beginning to show some signs of being curly and it is very hard to control! Hence, the crazy hair day!)

NASCAR fan!!

Daddy likes NASCAR and especially likes Kurt Busch. In support of my Daddy, I decided I could wear this outfit for the Daytona 500 race...

She is so much fun right now! I spend most of my day laughing at her! Ok, not AT her, but WITH her!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Ava had a great day playing and reading with Bode. It is very hard to capture her on camera now that she is all over the place...she never sits still long enough to get a good photo! Here is what I could do...

TEN MONTHS OLD!!!

Ava is 10 months old today! She is so entertaining every minute of the day, it is amazing I can get anything done! Well, if you saw my house you would see how much I really get done...just a tiny bit more than nothing! Oh well, she is worth having a messy house! She now has seven and a half teeth (one on the bottom is not quite in yet!) She is doing so well; standing alone, occasionally taking a step or two, trying (cautiously) to figure out how to get down the stairs she just climbed, stacking toys, taking things out of a box and putting them back in, switching lights "on!" and "off!" and trying new things to eat every day. We discovered that she LOVES grapefruit! As I say every month, we are so blessed to have her in our lives. She is such a wonderful little person! These pictures were all taken today, but we had to change after our morning snack...feeding ourselves can get pretty messy sometimes!

Under the weather

Ava has been feeling pretty yucky lately with a fever of about 103 since Monday. She finally developed the classic roseola rash on Friday after her fever came down. It was quite scary, to say the least, and we are thankful it was something simple. She had not been feeling up to eating anything until she had a bite of this Granny Smith apple...I had to capture the moment! She looks a bit disheveled, but that is from snuggling with Mom for 72 hours straight. I look forward to having her back to her normal, crazy self!!
